Bart : how the blockchain technology works? and how is it going to change trust between communities?

Ferran : blockchain is a protocol, not a technology per se, allows to transfer value over networks, which is new on internet : can send information but if I send you a ticket you don't know if I steal have it, you can through blockchain. On top of this, you can build infratsrcuture and build trustless infrastructure . Trust in societies not main way value is transfered or big communities are created, blockchain allow you to create infrastructure that allow me to send you 1000€ and trust the procedure, transaction with more security than before, don't need to trust you.

Bart : what will be possible through the blockchain technology? benefit from blockchain technology?

Ferran : features : standards : if Goteo wants to work with other crowdfunding platforms, we have to create infrastructure, blockcain gives network effect, creates a platform where we have users and they can interact with the projects they want

Bart : can provide an example : for example how could it work for Som Mobilitat? what are smart contracts?

Ferran : smart contracts: programming rules, objective of blockchain rpojects : work as a regular app, you don't need to know you are using blockchain, Som Mobilitat could use it to work with other coops across Europe and for users from Som mobilitat could go to belgium and use the same protocol,

Olivier : Goteo building an API to transform euros into REC, so financing is about hybridization of different models

What do crowdfunding, social change , anti-racist and fair trade have in common?

Black market , what's stories of people behinh the blanket , have no right to be part of the visbility scheme , transofrm invisibility into power. People fighting for their own rights, what street vendors are trying to tackle, need to exist and create circles of trust. On goteo, campaign for manteros : get your right by being an entrepreneur, used idea of union , have created solidarity brand, legal tardemark for illegal people that allowed some to get citizenship, now union and cooperative. Goteo allows them to get visibility.

Bart : you didn't talk about finance, how can technology be helpful to scale your priject

Olivier : it's about citizen lobby, for goeteo since we are a foundation, you get 70% back from Hacienda, but if you're not Spanish citizen you can't benefit. So blockchain cna help fix this, Belgian citizen can now get money back trhough blockchain

Bart : public adminsitration and trust through blockchain?

Ferran : public adminsuration have to become faiclitators to help create commons

need to speak the same language, public amdinsitration has to take and talk this language and be part of ecosystem, can't have the monopoly of participation, we now have a tool for public accountability

Olivier : SDGs : problem of dialogue between citizens and institutitons

On goteo, tool to tell measure SDGs and how they relate to projects

Invent social and democratic footprints, have reorganized SDGs through these new footprints on top of ecological footprint

Bart: give an example?

Olivier : what if we cross decisio-making platforms data with goteo data, crossed decidim and goteo data, to see create transversal indicators

Ferran : ledger technologies allow something that used to be hard, allow do-acracy. At home, i could build an app with goteo's data without having to ask them

Commons also need accountability else they will disappear, when we know who owns what, we can be more efficient

Olivier : we have data and numbers, this gives us power
